Women's Javelin Opportunity at Penn Relays The meet director at Penn Relays is willing to include a women's javelin event at Penn Relays if we can round up enough women. This would be the "Olympic Development Women's Javelin". (Unfortunately, we don't know the exact day -- whether he can fit the women in on Thursday, Friday or Saturday.) Right now, There are 5 women excited about the event. If we can track down 1 or 2 more women by Monday, we can create this opportunity. Note that the field can be as large as 12 throwers plus a couple alternates. Javelin USA also aims to provide training and financial assistance for its elite members to pursue the highest levels of competitive athletics.
